Age Restrictions
1-12 ~ Child: Only one shift is allowed. Children are much less likely to find new shifts outside in the wilderness, if only because they are forbidden from leaving the towns hidden behind the Wall. Children have some responsibilities and have no source of stable income though can perform odd jobs and chores for monies and lesser items.
13-19 ~ Youngling: Up to five shifts are allowed. Younglings are more likely to find new shifts outside in the wilderness and are allowed free reign outside of the Wall. Younglings are expected to work for a living and can get any of the common jobs as apprentices and will move up in the ranks with a bit of work. Each job will unlock a new shift.
20+ ~ Adult: Up to ten shifts are allowed. Adults are more likely to find new shifts outside in the wilderness and are allowed free reign outside of the Wall. Adults are expected to work for a living and can get any of the listed jobs (with the right shifts and experience) as apprentices or higher levels and will move up in the ranks with a bit of work. Each job will unlock a new shift.
Ranks
Commoners – The labourers of the Kingdom must be working at the age of 12 in order to support themselves and their families. The commoners are given no special privileges and are often talked down to and can sometimes be abused by the 'higher-ups' though this does not always happen. Commoners are the backbone of the Kingdom and without them the whole place would fall apart. Commoners are always needed!
Royal Court – Blessed with 'cleaner bloodlines' the Royal Court live a life of leisure and are in charge of serving the Royal Family and keeping them safe. Those born into the Royal Court are far more likely to get jobs such as the Armed Guard or even Farm Heads if they wish to drop down that many pegs on the social ladder. Normally the Armed Guard only accept adults, though younglings at the age of 16 have been known to be accepted without much experience at all. When creating a Royal Court character there will always be a ratio of 1:3 (Royal Court:Commoners) kept on site and that must be kept in mind.
Royal Family – The Royal Family have a much different bloodline than any of the others around the Kingdom and do not acquire shifts as others do. They gain their shifts by seeing a form, shift or animal in action with their own eyes and do not have a limit on the amount of forms they can take. This is a defence mechanism and is used for disguise purposes. If there is an emergency and the life of one of the Royal Family is in jeopardy they can mimic the form of another and hopefully escape with their life. Most of the Royal Family is plagued with Kripples, some of the commoners call it karma. Only FOUR characters maximum can be a part of the Royal Family at any time. Applications to be able to play a member of the Royal Family are unavailable at the moment though when more members join they will become available.
